The Second Guangzhou Ship Technical Management Exchange Conference was successfully held.
On September 19, the second Guangzhou Ship Technical Management Exchange Conference was successfully held at the Guangzhou International Shipping Building. The conference was themed "Refining Technical Management, Strengthening the Foundation of Shipping".
Under the guidance and support of the Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration and the Guangzhou Branch of China Classification Society, the conference was jointly organized by the Guangdong Society of Internal Combustion Engines and the Electromechanical Committee of the Guangdong Navigation Society.
It also received strong support from COSCO Shipping Bulk Co., Ltd. Representatives from maritime supervision, classification societies, academic institutions, shipping companies, and the ship equipment and technical service sectors gathered in Guangzhou to share experiences and exchange practices on topics such as ship safety operation and maintenance, green energy, technical transformation, and technical management.
Against the backdrop of digitalization, intelligence, and green low-carbon transformation in shipping, refining ship technical management and standardizing technical management are key to ensuring safe ship operations, improving corporate efficiency, and promoting high-quality industry development. The conference featured a full-day technical exchange session, divided into three phases with 15 professional technical reports. Industry experts and technical backbones conducted in-depth discussions on practical topics such as ship safety operation and maintenance, green energy applications, intelligent equipment management, technical transformation and upgrades, fault handling, and spare parts service assurance. The content covered frontline key tasks such as the development of new energy ships, dual-fuel main engine management, intelligent detection system applications, and ship equipment maintenance and transformation, aligning with the actual needs of the industry.
From equipment defects in ballast water systems to key points in managing dual-fuel main engines; from maintenance processes and spare parts assurance to green energy and technical transformation, this exchange conference focused on specific topics in technical management, integrating resources from supervision, research, and industry. It established an efficient platform for technical sharing and experience exchange, effectively solving multiple practical challenges in ship technical management.
