2023年1月，中国石化西南石油局天然气日产量首次突破2500万立方米，累计产气7.6亿立方米，同比增长6%，创历史新高。春节期间，该局统筹1858口井高效运行，3800余名员工坚守川西、川东北、川南一线，安全供应天然气1.69亿立方米，保障上海、浙江、湖南、四川等八省市用气需求。围绕“千亿立方米储量”目标，西南石油局制定勘探开发、安全环保、科技创新等十大保障措施，全年计划产气92亿立方米，全力助推川渝千亿立方米天然气生产基地高质量、加速度建设。

据报道，2023年，基于“千亿立方米储量目标”，中石化西南石油局制定了勘探开发、安全环保、科技创新等十项保障措施，计划生产92亿立方米天然气，助力提升四川和重庆千亿立方米天然气生产基地建设的质量和速度。
